Indonesian Green Beans


I made these Indonesian Green Beans.  They were good, but not quite as amazing as I had hoped for.  Still, they were a nice change from plain old steamed or roasted beans.  The few things I changed were to eliminate the coconut (I couldn't bring myself to buy a bag for only 1 tsp), and used red pepper flakes instead of sambal.  In the future, I think I would double or triple the sauce ingredients, because there really wasn't much sauce at all, and maybe add a tsp or two of sugar to the sauce.
