Southern Cole Slaw


Southern Cole Slaw

This is your typical cook-out style cole slaw.  1/4 head of red cabbage could be substituted for 1/4 of the head of green cabbage.  Or a bagged cole slaw mix could be used in place of the cabbage and shredded carrot.

-1/4 cup light mayo
-1/4 cup light sour cream
-1/2 small onion, grated
-3 Tbsp sugar
-2 tsp lemon juice
-2 tsp dijon mustard
-1/2 tsp celery seed
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/4 tsp pepper
-1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
-1 carrot, shredded

Whisk together dressing ingredients (mayo-pepper) in medium bowl.  Toss with cabbage and carrot.  Chill for at least an hour prior to serving.
