i had a pair of jeans that fit perfectly, but just weren't a color that i was crazy about. i'm more into the faded and distressed look of jeans, then a perfectly clean pair. after some internet research i realized that i could distress them at home myself...
the jeans before
and after: i used a razor blade to slice the hole in the knee, and a steak knife to fray it more prior to washing. i also used bleach mixed with water to add a more faded look to the rear and thigh portions of the jeans.

on all of the pockets and bottom cuffs i added some wear by rubbing against them with a steak knife and sand paper. i also added that worn spot below the pocket by scraping against the jeans with a steak knife, and then sand paper.
i'm debating on making this hole bigger still...

i added a hole to the back pocket (that just goes through one layer), distressed the tops of the pockets with the steak knife and sandpaper and added fade with bleach
